As we gear up to unveil Robison Web’s Western Showit Website Templates, I want to take a moment to share with you the journey that brought Jaden and me (Maggie) here.
How it Started: A Big A** Gap
Last year we identified a gap in the website industry that has been open for far too long. For many reasons, we found that there are little to no options for website designers and especially website templates for western and blue-collar businesses.
No designers are providing solutions for them and businesses keep going without a website in 2024 – this is absurd for how far the website industry has come. If they do have a website, they do not even like it. It barely does the job and is not appealing to their visitors.
Too Many Hurdles from Start to Finish
We are all too familiar with the frustration of trying to find website designs or a web designer that truly speak to the blue-collar, tradesmen, agriculture, equine, and cowboy community.
We see this problem affect our friends when looking for a website solution.
When the options are SLIM, the styles are generic, and the process from start to launching is challenging, it never gets done. We believe that this is one of the biggest reasons why these types of business owners do not have a website.
People become easily defeated, especially business owners with so many other things on their plate. Time is precious and they do not want to spend it stressing about a website!
Prices
Every industry and business has a price they put on the value of websites. We get it, one business may have a completely different budget or determined value of a website than another.
Over the past year and a half, we have found that businesses in the western and blue-collar industries have a wide range in the perceived value of a website and branding. We found that this is determined by their technical skills, their customer’s preferred avenue of communication, and how long they have been in business.
With so many factors to consider, we found many price points to consider. This meant that we wanted to create 2 solutions, Website Templates and Website Templates + Professional Install (We call this solution the “VIP Website Day”). More about that later in the blog.

We’re tired of scrolling through endless options that don’t resonate with our rough-and-tumble sensibilities. So, we decided to do something about it.

We will continue to do fully custom websites but believe that these 2 options are ideal for most of our clientele.

We say no to the typical Lorem Ipsum. On each template, you will find a filler copy across the pages that is infused with the spirit of the Americana-Cowboy.
To do this, we wanted to make sure that the presentation of the templates utilized filler copy, photos, and brand styles that you can relate to. They needed to be realistic.
Sloan Law Photography
In every template preview, we used photos from one of the best-known western photographers in the Northern Utah area. Sloan Law Photography is a Utah-based editorial photographer focusing on the western lifestyle. The lady behind the lens, Courtney, travels all around the USA photographing people just like you.
She also does brand photos for businesses to use across their platforms, including websites! We knew that she would be a perfect fit for our website template placeholder photos.
